New KAL Campus
- In August 2012, our brand new Middle School and High School Campus will open its doors.
- At full capacity, the new campus will be able to serve 850 students, in grades 5 – 12.
- Today, with 371 students in grades 5 – 8, we are currently “bursting at the seams.”
- In our yearly blind lottery, 96 students “win” entrance to KIPP and 250 students are denied entrance due to space constraints.
- In other words… there is a waitlist of three students for each 5th grade seat.
- In August 2009, our application for charter amendment was approved, allowing us to move ahead with our expansion plans. The new campus will be located in the Highlands area of Lynn.
