Directions to KIPP Academy Lynn
DRIVING from Boston
- Take Route 1-A North towards Lynn
- Once you see the signs to go left to Lynn, stay to the right following the ocean (you are headed towards Swamspcott)
- Keep the ocean to your right, until you come to Eastern Avenue (also MA-129) on the left. Take this left
- If you go over the bridge and pass the "Entering Swampscott" sign, you just barely missed the turn, come back
- Traveling west on Eastern Avenue, take a right at Essex (the light)
- Take your second left onto Bessom Street
- The school is on your right in the Holy Family Church complex
- When you enter the school, the office is the first door on the left
- Please park on the perimeter as the parking lot is our sports area.
DRIVING via Route 128
- Take 128 North.
- Get off at exit 44B towards Route 1/Rt 129/Danvers. Keep right and stay on ramp towards 129 Lynn/Swampscott.
- At the rotary, take 2nd exit onto Route 129 Lynn/Swampscott.
- At 3.6 miles turn left onto Route 107, Western Ave.
- At .7 miles turn right onto Rt. 129, Eastern Ave.
- Stay on Eastern Ave. for .9 mile.
- At lights turn left onto Essex Street.
- Take next left at Dee's Convenience Store, Bessom Street.
KIPP Academy Lynn is located in the Holy Family Church at 254 Bessom Street on the right. Please park on the perimeter as the lot is our recess and outdoor gym. Enter through the brown doors between the sanctuary on the right and the school on the left. Please check in with the school secretary.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
- From North Station, Boston, take the Newburyport or Rockport Line Northbound MBTA Commuter Rail.
- Get off at Swampscott. As you exit the train, walk north towards the intersection.
- At the cross street of Railroad and Burrill, turn left onto Burrill Street and walk under the train overpass.
- Walk .1 mile to Essex St.
- Turn left on Essex St. Walk .3 mile on Essex St. You will pass "Welcome to Lynn".
- Take your first right once in Lynn at Bessom St.
The Swampscott Wing of Abbot Nursing Home will be on the left, Dee's Convenience on the right. We are located in The Holy Family Church on the right. Please enter through the brown double doors in the middle of the building. As you enter, please turn right and ask the school secretary to let us know you are here. It's less than a 10 minute walk.
